Monday morning, and Harry is off to start his first day at Ysgol Rhostryfan. We decided to set off across the fields, following the footpath on the map, like the ultimate yummy family. After 3 times ending up in someones farm, we gave up, and went back for the car (hardly dare admit it after all my work on a green travel policy in Twickenham). We followed the school signs, and saw a beautiful victorian building, with a lovely yard in front, just like a Dickensian school. It seemed very quiet, and I couldnt understand why it was padlocked, till the lollipop lady kindly pointed out this was the chapel, and the school was down the road!

The school was so welcoming Harry was really happy to stay and start his new school life. When we picked him up at 3.00 we were told it was as if he had always been there. Tomorrow he is due to go to life saving lessons at the swimming pool, so it will be a fun few weeks.
Meanwhile, Paul and I worked on fortifying the wood shed, which would make a snug home for the chickens we're getting tomorrow. Very eco, we used some wood we had got from freecycle, and reused a bolt we liberated from another bit of the farm.
