We picked our lovely new girls up last night, and took them down to their new home around 10.00pm. We were so worried about them, they were listless, and very sad looking, as well as missing feathers. We put the camping lantern in their shed, so they could find the water and food, and left them with much trepidation. Things looked much better this morning, they are making proper chicken noises, moving round in the shed, and eating and drinking. They also laid us 6 eggs! They've got a peep hole out to a small run, and a couple of them have ventured out. We'll watch them for the next few days, and once we're sure they can make their way back in at night, we'll let them out to free-range over the farm. They are really scared us of us, and huddle in the corner when we open the door, so we'll do some circle time to build up trust.
