Trailer Repair

The trailer wheels had started to go very knockneed after we fetched some very heavy loads of slate waste for an area of hard standing near the chicken house.

So I took off the old axle



And tipped the trailer up to get access.

This picture reminds me of an opening scene from "Casualty" where you are supposed to think "What could possibly go wrong here?"



Then the old mounting plate had to be cut off.



New ones welded on



First one wheel



Then the other wheel



And finally back on the ground
