Piggy Sorter

A week ago on Wednesday Liam (The randy pig) was due to go to the abbatoir with help from Alfie I managed to shut the trailer ramp on him with his sisters outside the trailerso I could take him off. The trailer is solidly built of steel plate so, dispite his squeels and barks of anger on missing his breakfast, I thought he would be safe while I took Alfie to pick up his lift to school.

Just before we left there was a large cracking sound and he broke the roof and was enjoying breakfast.

That weekend I reinforced the roof with more steel and tried again, all 4 were sleeping in the trailer when they heard me they slowly woke and started to move outside. as soon as Liam saw he might be the last in the trailer he dashed out pushing past me or one of his sisters so he could not be trapped alone, he clearly could see something was up. After 4 attempts it was clear they the tatics would not work in time for the abbatoir deadline sohe lives for another week.

So I have built the "Piggy Sorter". It fits inside the back of trailerand has 2 sliding doors big enough for only 1 pig at a time so we can open one side or another to let only the ones out we want. I hope it works!
