We are a family (2 boys aged 11 & 15), who got bored with life in London so recently moved to a 5 acre small holding near Caernarfon. We have 9 pigs, loads of chickens, some gunea fowl and some ducks. We are trying to build up the small holding to be as self-sufficient as possible, and live in the most sustainable way we can, while enjoying having space and the great outdoors. We had no experience of farming before we moved, so are rapidly learning skills from locals, books and even youtube !
We really need some help, starting as soon as possible, with both the day to day running of the small holding and to get some of our projects started, including building a compost loo, setting up a water system fed from our stream, clearing some space in the woods for camping, building a wood fired oven and developing the vegetable garden.
We offer a funky converted bus for you to stay in, 3 meals a day from as much home-grown produce as possible, and of course access to the wonderful activities in Snowdonia. We would love to share our skills, and use any have to you offer. We are an easy going family, and look forward to having someone to join in the fun with us. We are open to individuals or a couple - please get in touch.
